ZetlanCharles Abramovic
(Ajudicator/Piano Competition) has won critical acclaim for his international performances as a soloist, chamber musician, and collaborator with leading instrumentalists and singers. Mr. Abramovic performs regularly with such artists as Midori, Sarah Chang, Robert McDuffie, Viktoria Mullova, Kim Kashkashian and Jeffrey Khaner.

DjokicBrett Algaier
(El Gallo/Fantasticks) Brett Algaier is a Senior Voice Performance major at Westminster Choir College. He currently studies voice with Elem Eley. Recent credits include A Sergeant in La Boheme, and Camembert in Mirette for The Princeton Festival 2008, Jeff Barry in Leader of the Pack for Hopewell Dinner Theater, and roles in Westminster productions of Dialogues of the Carmelites and Oklahoma

(Hucklebee/Fantasticks) Gabe Allan is an actor, writer and improv comic in northern New Jersey. He’s appeared in dozens of plays, musicals and concerts in the last three decades.  He’s written books, plays, encyclopedia entries and computer instruction manuals.


DjokicDean Anthony
(Puck/Dream) Often referred to as "The Tumbling Tenor", Character Tenor and Stage Director Dean Anthony has created over 80 roles and been highly praised as a character artist for his vocal, dramatic, physical and acrobatic abilities, for example as Monostatos in Die Zauberflote with New York City Opera. DjokicBrian Banion
(Quince/Dream) Brian has sung Leporello in Don Giovanni, Basilio Il barbiere di Siviglia, Figaro and Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Escamillo and Zuniga in Carmen, Baron Douphol, Marquis and the Doctor in La Traviata, and the Doctor in Vanessa. Of a recent performance, Opera News stated, “For simple, beautiful singing, one had to look to bass-baritone Brian Banion’s fierce Nourabad.”

Ignacio BerroaIgnacio Berroa
(Drummer/Jazz) has been recognized by many as one of the greatest drummers of our times. His numerous contributions to the American music scene have earned him a place among a very selective group of artists known to have set new musical trends for the 20th century. Jazz Legend Dizzy Gillespie best defined Ignacio as:..."The only Latin drummer ... that knows both worlds; his native Afro-Cuban music as well as Jazz."

Jonathan BrittJonathan Britt
(Baritone/Duruflé) Don Quixote, Man of La Mancha,  Chorus, Carmen, Registrar, Madama Butterfly, Princeton Festival. The Flying Dutchman, Lakme, I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Spoleto Festival USA. Marco, Gianni Schicchi, PBU Opera Workshop. Recent concert engagements include Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs and Schubert’s Mass in Eb.

DjokicDaniel Bubeck
(Oberon/Dream) Daniel Bubeck made his professional debut to critical acclaim in the world premiere of John Adams El Niño (Opera du Châtelet). Other debuts include St. Louis Symphony, Boston Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, BBC Symphony, Royal Flemish Philharmonic, Tokyo Symphony and Orchestra of St. Lukes.  Title roles in Handel’s Giulio Cesare and Scarlatti’s Tigrane.

CampbellMatthew Campbell
(Set Design/Fantasticks) Matt designed the set for Mirette in The Princeton Festival 2008. He continues to collaborate with several New Jersey theaters, including Passage Theatre, New Jersey Repertory Theatre, Luna Stage and Forum Theatre, as well teach music and theatre at The Lawrenceville School.

DjokicSimon Carrington
(Conductor, Clinician/Choral Workshop) Simon is professor of choral conducting at Yale University and director of the celebrated chamber choir Yale Schola Cantorum. Following his twenty-five year career with the acclaimed British vocal ensemble The King’s Singers, he has developed a lively career as a conductor and teacher with engagements this year in Britain, China, Ireland, Iceland, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Portugal and the US.

Melvin ChenMelvin Chen
(Piano/Concordia Chamber Players) In recent seasons Mr. Chen's concerts have included two solo recitals at Weill Recital Hall and concerto performances with the American Symphony Orchestra. He was the pianist in Ricky Ian Gordon's Orpheus and Euridice, which was presented by Lincoln Center in 2005 and which received a special citation from the Obie awards.

Catherine ChoCatherine Cho
(Violin/Concordia Chamber Players) Catherine Cho is recognized for her remarkable virtuosity, combining technical mastery of her instrument with an extraordinary and distinctive musicality. Praised by The New York Times for her "sublime tone", she has appeared worldwide as soloist with many orchestras and chamber ensembles as well as in recital, including the National Symphony Orchestra in DC.

DjokicNorman Coates
(Lighting Design/Dream) Designs include Opera Carolina, Charlotte Opera, Opera Omaha, Fort Worth Opera, Piedmont Opera Theater. He’s designed over 200 productions including Broadway, Off Broadway, National and International tours, regional opera and theater. Norman is the Director of Lighting at UNCSA.

DjokicLauren Cupples
(Luisa/Fantasticks) is a graduate of DeSales University.  Past Credits include The Sound of Music (Maria u/s, Nun) – Dutch Apple Theater, Let Freedom Ring (Missy/Rebecca) – American Family Theater, Jailbirds (Lulu) – Walnut Street Theater Studio 5, Titanic (Kate Mullins) – Ritz Theater, and Into the Woods (Cinderella) – DeSales University Mainstage.

DjokicJohn Daniecki
(Snout/Dream) John has been lauded in debuts with the operas in Bonn, Dresden, Munich, Düsseldorf, Palermo, Hannover, Weimar, and Cleveland. Debuting at the Lyric Opera of Chicago in 1999, John took part in the world premiere of Amistad by Anthony Davis. The 1999 season also included a debut with the Washington Opera in the Kennedy Center. He sang in Gounod’s Faust, with the National Opera de Uruguay.

DjokicMichelle Djokic
(Artistic Dirctor, Violoncello/ Concordia Chamber Players) Associate principal cellist for the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra from 2005 to 2007. Philadelphia Orchestra debut at age thirteen. Past engagements include principal cellist of the Denver Symphony, The Aspen Festival Orchestra.

DjokicTyler Duncan
(Demetrius/Dream) Tyler’s voice has “that rare mixture of elegant phrasing and resonant power” (Toronto Star). Has sung, among other roles, Papageno in The Magic Flute. Count Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro.  Concerts and recitals in Paris, New York (Carnegie Hall), South Africa and throughout North America and Europe.  1st prize at the 2008 Oratorio Society of New York Competition.

DjokicCris Frisco
(Music Director/Fantasticks) Cris Frisco is a member of the Music Theater Faculty of Westminster College of the Arts of Rider University.  He recently conducted the Philadelphia Premiere of Bat Boy for 1812 Productions, which was awarded a Barrymore Award for Outstanding Ensemble in a musical. He is coach and accompanist for the graduate acting program at the New School for Drama in New York. 

DjokicJeremy Galyon
(Theseus/Dream) debuted in the 2008-2009 season with the Metropolitan Opera as Alessio in Bellini’s La sonnambula. Applauded for his “robust and charismatic performances” (San Francisco Chronicle), Jeremy sings Count Horn in A Masked Ball, Count Ceprano (Rigoletto), the Magistrate (The Barber of Seville), and the Sergeant of the archers in Manon Lescaut for the San Francisco Opera.

DjokicNick Hardin
(Matt/Fantasticks) is a senior music theater major at Westminster Choir College in Princeton. He was last seen on stage as Francisco in The Glorious Ones. Additional credits include Jack in Into the Woods Garry/Roger in Noises Off and Bill Calhoun in Kiss Me, Kate


Marjorie HermanMarjorie Herman
(Lecturer/Choral Workshop) has taught at the university and community levels for many years. Currently Music Director at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton, Dr. Herman also serves as Artistic Director of the Hopewell Valley Chorus. A published choral composer, Dr. Herman's voice can be heard weekly on WWFM, in her syndicated program "Sounds Choral."

Bill HuntingtonBill Huntington
(Bassist/Jazz) Bill Huntington, bassist extraordinaire, has recorded with Ellis Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Harry Connick Jr., Pete Fountain, Nicholas Payton and others. Although his home is now in the Village he continues to tour the world with the great jazz performers, recently returning from Portugal from a tour with Bennie Wallace.

Patrick JamesPatrick James
(Henry/Fantasticks) Patrick James was 2 years old when his mother would sing him to sleep with a song from the new off Broadway hit The Fantasticks. Pat himself has sung that song playing both fathers and El Gallo. He will listen once more as Henry. Try To Remember.


Francene KayFrancine Kay
(Ajudicator/Piano Competition) Francine Kay has played as a soloist at Weill Hall, Carnegie Hall, Richardson Auditorium with the Princeton Symphony, and chamber music at The Saratoga Chamber Music Festival, Music Mountain, Icicle Creek, and Banff Summer Festival. She is winner of the Pro Piano International Competition and has made critically acclaimed recordings of the music of Debussy.

David KellettDavid Kellett
(Director/Fantasticks) David directed the Festival's productions of The Man of La Mancha and The Old Maid and the Thief. At Princeton University, where he teaches private voice, David has directed productions of Magic Flute, Marriage of Figaro and G & S's Patience. As a tenor, he has performed over 45 principal and secondary roles in productions in opera and operetta during his career.

La CosseSteven LaCosse
(Director/Dream) Director La Boheme, Madama Butterfly, Carmen for The Princeton Festival. Recent projects include Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Dvorak’s The Devil and Kate, and the southeastern premiere of Ned Rorem’s Our Town.  He is the Managing Director for the A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute at the North Carolina School of the Arts.

Todd LewisTodd Lewis
(Mortimer/Fantasticks) The Ghost of Christmas Past in Christmas Carol and most recently as Uncle Billy in the radio play version of  It’s A Wonderful Life with River Union Stage in Frenchtown, Orin the Dentist  in Little Shop Of Horrors at the Bucks County Playhouse and Pap in Big River at Mt. Gretna Theatre, PA. with the  Princeton Festival as  Jonas Fogg in Sweeney Todd.

Sage LuttonSage Lutton
(Mezzo/Duruflé) Sage has sung under the direction of Richard Tang Yuk in the Opera Festival of New Jersey (1995-2003) and Princeton Festival (2005-08.)  This season marks her sixth with both the Princeton Singers and Jerome Brandt's Skylark Ensemble.  Sage can be heard as a guest artist on That Was Then, This Is Now, and Green Mountain Dreaming, cd releases of Mary Koth Lutton.

Robert MackasekRobert Mackasek
(Bellomy/Fantasticks) Bob’s performance experience includes Off-Broadway, cruise ships, regional theater and he has been performing in piano bars for over 40 years. Bob is a trustee of the South Mountain Theater Works based in Maplewood NJ and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Valera Global, Inc., a position he assumed in 2005 after practicing law for 25 years..

Anne McKennaAnne McKenna
(The Mute/Fantasticks) As The Mute, Anne McKenna comes full circle in a professional career that began with the role of Luisa in The Fantasticks.  She made her operatic debut as Papagena with Chautauqua Opera and has since performed dozens of operatic, oratorio, and musical theatre roles.  She was the Foley Artist in the Festival’s 2006 production of The Old Maid and the Thief.

Jayme MellemaJayme Mellema
(Set Designer/Dream) Recent projects include Exit the King with puppeteer Basil Twist, Sweeney Todd, Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Three Sisters, The Women of Lockerbie, and the southeastern premiere of Ned Rorem’s Our Town.  He is the resident Scenic Designer for NC State University.

(Hermia/Dream) Abigail Nims has recently appeared as Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro for Opera Delaware, Veruca Salt in the workshop premiere of Peter Ash’s The Golden Ticket, Zefka in a staged version of Janácek's The Diary of One Who Disappeared for Gotham Chamber Opera, and as soloist with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Teatro Municipal (Chile), and the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra.

DjokicDouglas Perry
(Flute/Dream) Acclaimed for his portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi in Phillip Glass’ opera Satyagraha, Douglas Perry premiered the work with the Netherlands Opera, and can be heard as Gandhi on the best-selling CBS recording. Mr. Perry made his Metropolitan Opera debut in the world premiere of Glass' The Voyage. He appeared with The Princeton Festival in Sweeney Todd and Madama Butterfly.

DjokicCynthia Phelps
(Viola/Concordia Chamber Players) Cynthia Phelps is the New York Philharmonic’s Principal Viola (The Mr. and Mrs. Frederick P. Rose Chair). Her solo appearances with the Orchestra have included performances on the 2006 Tour of Italy, sponsored by Generali, and the 1999 premiere of Sofia Gubaidulina’s Two Paths, which the Orchestra commissioned for her.

Eric PlutzEric Plutz
(Organist/Duruflé) University Organist at Princeton University, and rehearsal accompanist for the Westminster Symphonic Choir at Westminster Choir College of Rider University.  Solo organ recordings (on the Pro Organo label): Music Héroïque, and Carnival. Featured performer: 2007 Regional Convention for the American Guild of Organists, 2007 American Handel Society Conference.

Adam RaffertyAdam Rafferty
(Guitar/Jazz) Adam Rafferty is not only one of New York City's most-respected jazz guitarists, but he also is a leader in the field of "new traditionalism" in jazz. On his latest album with his trio, Three Souls, he demonstrates his deep affection for a classic, mainstream jazz sound, but he also brings more of his background to the mix with hints of blues, rock, funk and classical.

DjokicMichael Redding
(Starveling/Dream) At Indiana University, Michael performed many operatic roles including Elder McLean in Susannah, Colas in Bastien and Bastienne, and Oliver Hix in The Music Man, under the guidance of teachers Giorgio Tozzi and Virginia Zeani. He was a member of the Young Artist Programs of Utah Festival Opera and the Janiec Opera Company, and was a finalist in the 2004 Mobile Opera Competition.

RinehartRobert Rinehart
(Viola/Concordia Chamber Players)Robert Rinehart joined the New York Philharmonic’s viola section in September 1992. As a founding member of the Ridge String quartet, be toured extensively in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America beginning in 1979. The quartet was featured on all of New York’s major chamber music series as well as the Spoleto, Schleswig-Holstein and Helsinki festivals.

DjokicRebecca Ringle
(Hippolyta/Dream) Hailed by Opera News for her "richly focused voice," Rebecca Ringle debuted as Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana with New York City Opera in October 2007 and continued at NYCO in 2008 with Suzuki in Madama Butterfly and Dorothee in Cendrillon. DjokicSheryl Staples
(Violin/Concordia Chamber Players) Violinist Sheryl Staples joined the New York Philharmonic as Principal Associate Concertmaster (The Elizabeth G. Beinecke Chair) in 1998, and made her solo debut with the Orchestra in 1999. Previously she was the associate concertmaster of The Cleveland Orchestra and concertmaster of the Pacific Symphony and Santa Barbara Chamber orchestras.

(Bottom/Dream) Curtis Streetman has sung the major bass roles in Le Nozze di Figaro (Figaro), Die Zauberflötte (Sarastro), La Boheme (Colline), Don Giovanni (Leporello), Rigoletto (Sparafucile) as well as leads in Verdi, Handel and Rossini operas.

(Lysander/Dream) Nadir in Les Pêcheur de Perles with Seattle Opera, Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia with Opera Pacific, and Ramiro in La Cenerentola with the Opera Company of North Carolina. He also sings Handel’s Messiah with Handel and Haydn Society and Carmina Burana with the Milwaukee Symphony.

Tang YukRichard Tang Yuk

Bennie WallaceBennie Wallace
(Tenor Saxaphone/Jazz) Bennie Wallace appeared on the jazz scene in the late '70s, with the excellent CD "The 14 Bar Blues." He spent much of the next decade as a composer of film scores including Betty Boop, White Men Can't Jump, Blaze, and Bull Durham. He returned to the East in the late 90s, and has played in and led groups containing Chick Corea, Tommy Flanagan, Dave Holland and many others.

Caroline WorraCaroline Worra
(Helena/Dream) Caroline Worra has been hailed by Opera News as “a serious artist destined for international stages” She has sung Jenny in The Mines of Sulphur for the 2007 Grammy nominated CD. and the title role for the CD The Greater Good; Passion of Boule de Suif (Opera News and New York Times pick for one of the top classical CDs of 2007).  She joined the Metropolitan Opera roster last year.

ZetlanJennifer Zetlan
(Tytania/Dream) The New York Times hails Jennifer Zetlan’s ‘shining soprano’ for its ‘affecting beauty and suppleness’.  Upcoming performances include Laoula in L’Etoile with New York City Opera and The Flier in the world premiere of Amelia with Seattle Opera.  On the roster of the MET since 2007, productions include: War and Peace (debut), Manon Lescaut and Ariadne auf Naxos.
